LDH: August 31st Louisiana COVID-19 UPDATE

The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Monday, August 31st.

There have been 148,193 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That's 324 more reported cases since yesterday.

Numbers show that there are 881 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized. That is 19 fewer reported hospitalizations since yesterday.

132 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is 9 fewer patients on ventilators than yesterday.

LDH reports the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 is 4,787. That is 19 more reported deaths since yesterday.

As of today, 127,918 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered, as of August 24th. That's 9,798 more recovered cases than the week before.

Lafayette Parish: 8,275 total cases, 111 total deaths

Iberia Parish: 2,715 total cases, 87 total deaths

St. Martin Parish: 1,962 total cases, 56 total deaths

St. Mary Parish: 1,762 total cases, 70 total deaths

St. Landry Parish: 3,098 total cases, 113 total deaths

Acadia Parish: 2,809 total cases, 93 total deaths

Evangeline Parish: 1,119 total cases, 24 total deaths

Vermilion Parish: 1,867 total cases, 46 total deaths
