LDH: August 6th Louisiana COVID-19 UPDATE

The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Thursday, August 6th.

There have been 127,246 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That's 1,303 more reported cases since yesterday.

Numbers show that there are 1,457 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized. That's down 14 since yesterday.

215 patients are on ventilators across the state.

The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 is 4,028. That is 50 more reported deaths since yesterday.

As of today, 89,083 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered. That's 14,837 presumed recovered patients since the last report released last week.

The total number of coronavirus cases that have been in the Acadiana region is 20,482 with 442 total deaths reported.

Lafayette Parish: 7,424 total cases, 91 total deaths

Iberia Parish: 2,436 total cases, 70 total deaths

St. Martin Parish: 1,609 total cases, 43 total deaths

St. Mary Parish: 1,527 total cases, 51 total deaths

St. Landry Parish: 2,583 total cases, 83 total deaths

Acadia Parish: 2,555 total cases, 79 total deaths

Evangeline Parish: 835 total cases, 3 total deaths

Vermilion Parish: 1,513 total cases, 22 total deaths
