The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Monday, July 6th.
There have been 66,327 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. There are over 1,161 more reported cases since yesterday with a 9.8% positive rate.
98% of the cases reported to the state today were community spread.
44% of the cases reported today are of individuals aged 29 and under.
Numbers show that there are 964 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized - 38 more than were reported yesterday.
109 patients are on ventilators across the state.
The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 3,188..
As of today, 43,026 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered.
The total number of coronavirus cases that have been in the Acadiana region is 6,809 with 260 total deaths reported.
Lafayette Parish: 2,917 total cases, 48 total deaths
Iberia Parish: 978 total cases, 45 total deaths
St. Martin Parish: 846 total cases, 27 total deaths
St. Mary Parish: 600 total cases, 38 total deaths
St. Landry Parish: 797 total cases, 57 total deaths
Acadia Parish: 1,042 total cases, 42 total deaths
Evangeline Parish: 234 total cases, 1 total death
Vermilion Parish: 359 total cases, 6 total deaths
