LDH: July 9th Louisiana COVID-19 Update
The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Friday, July 10th.
There have been 74,636 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. There are 2,642 more reported cases since yesterday. That’s the most ever in a single day for the Bayou State that didn’t include backlog cases since the pandemic started.
97% of the cases reported today were community spread.
Numbers show that there are 1,117 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized - 75 more than were reported yesterday.
122 patients are on ventilators across the state - 12 more than were reported yesterday.
The total number of deaths due to COVID-19 increased by 20 to 3,272. That's 25 more than were reported yesterday.
As of today, 46,334 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered. That's 3,308 more recovered patients since last week.
The total number of coronavirus cases that have been in the Acadiana region is 7,813 with 263 total deaths reported.
Lafayette Parish: 3,493 total cases, 51 total deaths

Iberia Parish: 1,181 total cases, 49 total deaths

St. Martin Parish: 963 total cases, 27 total deaths

St. Mary Parish: 704 total cases, 39 total deaths

St. Landry Parish: 1,023 total cases, 59 total deaths

Acadia Parish: 1,232 total cases, 44 total deaths
