LDH: June 18th Louisiana COVID-19 Update
The Louisiana Department of Health is not releasing a case update today. LDH says it is "reviewing all data." This comes after nearly a week of rising COVID-19 case numbers.
Listed below is the Wednesday update released by LDH.
There are now 48,634 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That is 928 more reported cases since yesterday. This includes a backlog of 129 cases, with specimen collection dates between 4/1 and 4/9.
Numbers show that there are 585 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized - 3 fewer than yesterday.
83 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is 7 more patients since yesterday
The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 2,950, an increase of 20 since yesterday.
As of today, 37,017 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered. That's 3,113 more recovered patients since last week.
The total number of coronavirus cases in the Acadiana region is 3,736 with 228 deaths reported.
Lafayette Parish: 1,302 cases, 32 deaths

St. Martin Parish: 381 cases, 28 deaths

St. Landry Parish: 393 cases, 55 deaths

Acadia Parish: 625 cases, 32 deaths

Evangeline Parish: 100 cases, 1 death
