LDH: June 23rd Louisiana COVID-19 Update
The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Tuesday, June 23rd.
There are now 51,595 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That is 1,356 more reported cases since yesterday.
LDH says they have implemented a new process for improved de-duplication and parish assignment of data received from labs around the state.
Numbers show that there are 646 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized - 16 more than yesterday.
83 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is 6 more patients since yesterday.
The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 3,021, an increase of 17 since yesterday.
As of today, 39,792 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered. That's 2,775 more recovered patients since last week.
The total number of coronavirus cases in the Acadiana region is 4,402 with 235 deaths reported.
Lafayette Parish: 1,574 cases, 36 deaths
(Up 134 reported cases, Up 3 reported deaths since yesterday)
Iberia Parish: 531 cases, 42 deaths
(Up 49 reported cases, Up 0 reported deaths since yesterday)
St. Martin Parish: 581 cases, 26 deaths
(Up 55 reported cases, Down 2 reported deaths since yesterday)
St. Mary Parish: 405 cases, 36 deaths
(Up 12 reported cases, Up 1 reported death since yesterday)
St. Landry Parish: 517 cases, 57 deaths
(Up 33 reported cases, Up 2 reported deaths since yesterday)
Acadia Parish: 705 cases, 34 deaths
(Up 36 reported cases, Up 0 reported deaths since yesterday)
Evangeline Parish: 139 cases, 1 death
(Up 14 reported cases, Up 0 reported deaths since yesterday)
Vermilion Parish: 172 cases, 5 deaths
(Up 33 reported cases, Up 0 reported deaths since yesterday)
The numbers are updated and released every day at noon.
