LDH: June 28th Louisiana COVID-19 Update
The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Sunday, June 28th.
There have been 56,236 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. There are 1,467 more reported cases since yesterday.
Numbers show that there are 715 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized - 15 more than were reported on Friday.
76 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is 3 more patients since Fridays.
The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 3,086, a increase of 9 deaths since Friday.
As of today, 39,792 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered. That's 2,775 more recovered patients since last week.
The total number of coronavirus cases that have been in the Acadiana region is 5,531 with 249 total deaths reported.
Lafayette Parish: 1,972 total cases, 41 total deaths
(Up 110 reported cases, No new reported deaths since yesterday)
Iberia Parish: 636 total cases, 44 total deaths
(Up 26 reported cases, No new reported deaths since yesterday)
St. Martin Parish: 661 total cases, 26 total deaths
(Up 25 reported cases, No new reported deaths since yesterday)
St. Mary Parish: 443 total cases, 38 total deaths
(Up 17 reported cases, No new reported deaths since yesterday)
St. Landry Parish: 605 total cases, 57 total deaths
(Up 27 reported cases, No new reported deaths since yesterday)
Acadia Parish: 812 total cases, 36 total deaths
(Up 74 reported cases, No new reported deaths since yesterday)
Evangeline Parish: 173 total cases, 1 total death
(Up 5 reported cases, No new deaths reported since yesterday)
Vermilion Parish: 229 total cases, 5 total deaths
(Up 9 reported cases, Up 1 reported death since yesterday)
The numbers are updated and released every day at noon.
