LDH: May 24th Louisiana COVID-19 Update
The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Sunday, May 24th.
There are now 37,169 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That number is up 129 since yesterday.
Numbers show that there are 813 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized - 23 fewer than yesterday.
102 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is 10 fewer than yesterday.
The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 2,567 an increase of 7 since yesterday.
As of today, 26,249 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered. That's 3,641 more recovered patients since last week.
The total number of coronavirus cases in the Acadiana region is 2,383 with 184 deaths reported.
Lafayette Parish: 659 cases, 23 deaths

Iberia Parish: 388 cases, 36 deaths
(No change since yesterday.)
St. Martin Parish: 288 cases, 22 deaths
(No change since yesterday.)
St. Mary Parish: 295 cases, 29 deaths
(1 new case, no new deaths reported since yesterday.)
St. Landry Parish: 247 cases, 52 deaths
(No change since yesterday.)
Acadia Parish: 291 cases, 18 deaths
(Up 1 new case, 1 new deaths since yesterday.)
Evangeline Parish: 165 cases, 1 death
(Up 36 new cases since yesterday, no new deaths since yesterday.)
Vermilion Parish: 50 cases, 3 deaths
(No change since yesterday.)
