LDH: May 25th Louisiana COVID-19 Update
The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Monday, May 25th.
There are now 37,809 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That number is up 640 since yesterday.
Numbers show that there are 847 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized - 34 fewer than yesterday.
102 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is same as yesterday
The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 2,585 an increase of 18 since yesterday.
As of today, 26,249 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered. That's 3,641 more recovered patients since last week.
The total number of coronavirus cases in the Acadiana region is 2,383 with 184 deaths reported.
Lafayette Parish: 674 cases, 23 deaths
(15 new cases since yesterday, no new deaths)
Iberia Parish: 392 cases, 37 deaths
(1 new case and 1 new death since yesterday.)
St. Martin Parish: 289 cases, 22 deaths
(1 new case, no new deaths)
St. Mary Parish: 302 cases, 29 deaths
(7 new case, no new deaths reported since yesterday.)
St. Landry Parish: 248 cases, 52 deaths
(1 new case, no new deaths reported since yesterday)
Acadia Parish: 299 cases, 18 deaths
(Up 8 new case, no new deaths since yesterday.)
Evangeline Parish: 166 cases, 1 death
(Up 1 new case since yesterday, no new deaths since yesterday.)
Vermilion Parish: 50 cases, 3 deaths
(No change since yesterday.)
