The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Saturday, May 30th.

There are now 39,577 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That is 775 more reported cases since Thursday.

Numbers show that there are 674 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized - 40 fewer than yesterday.

84 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is a decrease of 6 patients since yesterday

The total number of deaths reported due to the coronavirus is now at 2,680 an increase of 19 since yesterday.

As of today, 28,700 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered. That's 2,451 more recovered patients since last week.

The total number of coronavirus cases in the Acadiana region is 2,579 with 195 deaths reported.

Lafayette Parish: 763 cases, 26 deaths
(68 new cases reported since Thursday, 1 new death)

Iberia Parish: 407 cases, 37 deaths
(3 new cases reported since Thursday and no new deaths since yesterday.)

St. Martin Parish: 294 cases, 23 deaths
(1 new case reported since Thursday, 1 new death)

St. Mary Parish: 317 cases, 30 deaths
(8 new cases reported since Thursday, 1 new deaths reported since yesterday.)

St. Landry Parish: 255 cases, 54 deaths
(3 new cases reported since Thursday, 0 new deaths reported since yesterday)

Acadia Parish: 412 cases, 23 deaths
(11 new cases reported since Thursday, 0 new death reported since yesterday)

Evangeline Parish: 78 cases, 1 death
(3 new cases reported since Thursday, 0 new deaths reported since yesterday)

Vermilion Parish: 53 cases, 3 deaths
(0 new cases reported since Thursday, no new deaths since yesterday.)
