LDH: November 18th Louisiana COVID-19 UPDATE
The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Wednesday, November 18th.
There have been 200,982 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. The total number of cases reported to the state is 209,914. Today added 2,239 more new cases since yesterday.
There are currently 886 COVID patients in the hospital. That's an increase of 12 since yesterday.
There are 93 COVID patients on ventilators. That's an increase of 1 since yesterday.
LDH reports the confirmed deaths due to COVID-19 is 5,939. The current total death count is 6,184 (includes probable deaths). Today added 28 more new deaths than yesterday.
185,960 COVID-19 patients are presumed recovered, as of 11/16/2020. That's 9,853 presumed recovered patients since 11/9/20.
Below are some stats released from the Louisiana Department of Health:
- Individuals between 18-29 represent 21% of these cases
- Since yesterday, 22,771 new tests have been reported to the state, bringing the total number of tests to 3,156,670. Of the tests reported today, 16,613 were PCR tests and 6,158 were antigen tests.
Lafayette Parish: 10,532 confirmed cases, 142 confirmed deaths
Iberia Parish: 3,332 confirmed cases, 100 confirmed deaths
St. Martin Parish: 2,480 confirmed cases, 65 confirmed deaths
St. Mary Parish: 2,169 confirmed cases, 89 confirmed deaths
St. Landry Parish: 4,295 confirmed cases, 143 confirmed deaths
Acadia Parish: 3,582 confirmed cases, 109 confirmed deaths
Evangeline Parish: 1,622 confirmed cases, 40 confirmed deaths
Vermilion Parish: 2,349 confirmed cases, 70 confirmed deaths
