The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Wednesday, October 28th.

There have been 181,443 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That's 503 more reported cases since yesterday.

Numbers show that there are 613 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized. That's an increase of 13 from yesterday.

80 patients are on ventilators across the state. That's a decrease of 11 since yesterday.

LDH reports the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 is 5,676. That is 10 more reported deaths than yesterday.

168,634 COVID-19 patients are presumed recovered, as of 10/26/2020. That's 3,352 more recovered patients than last report.

Lafayette Parish: 9,477 total cases, 139 total deaths

Iberia Parish: 3,080 total cases, 97 total deaths

(Up 8 reported cases since yesterday, Up 1 reported death since yesterday)

St. Martin Parish: 2,230 total cases, 64 total deaths

(Up 12 reported cases since yesterday, Up 1 reported death since yesterday)

St. Mary Parish: 2,021 total cases, 86 total deaths

(Up 0 reported cases since yesterday, Up 1 reported death since yesterday)

St. Landry Parish: 3,675 total cases, 135 total deaths

(Down 3 reported cases since yesterday, Up 0 reported deaths since yesterday)

Acadia Parish: 3,147 total cases, 101 total deaths

(Up 8 reported cases since yesterday, Up 0 reported deaths since yesterday)

Evangeline Parish: 1,412 total cases, 39 total deaths

(Down 1 reported case since yesterday, Up 0 reported deaths since yesterday)

Vermilion Parish: 2,129 total cases, 70 total deaths
