The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Friday, October 2nd.
There have been 167,401 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That's 889 more reported cases since yesterday.
Numbers show that there are 536 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized. That is 2 more hospitalizations than yesterday.
74 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is 1 fewer reported patient on a ventilator than yesterday.
LDH reports the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 is 5,355. That is 26 more reported deaths since yesterday.
154,163 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered, as of September 28th. That's 4,523 more recovered cases than the week before.
Lafayette Parish: 9,050 total cases, 133 total deaths

Iberia Parish: 2,971 total cases, 89 total deaths

St. Mary Parish: 1,947 total cases, 77 total deaths
