The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Wednesday, September 30th.

There have been 166,033 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That's 452 more reported cases since yesterday.

Numbers show that there are 553 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized. That is 25 fewer hospitalizations than yesterday.

79 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is 1 fewer reported patient on a ventilator than yesterday.

LDH reports the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 is 5,321. That is 13 more reported deaths since yesterday.

154,163 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered, as of September 28th. That's 4,523 more recovered cases than the week before.

Lafayette Parish: 8,982 total cases, 132 total deaths

Iberia Parish: 2,936 total cases, 89 total deaths

St. Martin Parish:  2,106 total cases, 61 total deaths

St. Mary Parish: 1,934 total cases, 77 total deaths

(Up 0 reported cases since yesterday, Up 0 reported deaths since yesterday)

St. Landry Parish: 3,314 total cases, 124 total deaths

(Up 2 reported cases since yesterday, Up 0 reported deaths since yesterday)

Acadia Parish: 2,969 total cases, 99 total deaths

(Up 6 reported cases since yesterday, Up 0 reported deaths since yesterday)

Evangeline Parish: 1,334 total cases, 32 total deaths

(Up 4 reported cases since yesterday, Up 0 reported deaths since yesterday)

Vermilion Parish: 2,041 total cases, 61 total deaths

(Down 3 reported cases since yesterday, Up 0 reported deaths since yesterday)
