The Louisiana Department of Health has issued its daily update for Friday, September 4th.

There have been 151,473 confirmed cases of coronavirus in Louisiana. That's 828 more reported cases since yesterday.

Numbers show that there are 808 reported COVID-19 patients currently hospitalized. That is 43 fewer reported hospitalizations since yesterday.

96 patients are on ventilators across the state. That is 32 fewer patients on ventilators than yesterday.

LDH reports the total number of deaths due to COVID-19 is 4,872. That is 14 more reported deaths since yesterday.

134,432 COVID-19 patients are presumed to have recovered, as of August 31st. That's 6,514 more recovered cases than the week before.

Lafayette Parish: 8,402 total cases, 113 total deaths

Iberia Parish: 2,752 total cases, 87 total deaths

(Up 0 reported cases since yesterday, Up 0 reported deaths since yesterday)

St. Martin Parish: 1,996 total cases, 57 total deaths

(Up 13 reported cases since yesterday, Up 0 reported deaths since yesterday)

St. Mary Parish: 1,778 total cases, 72 total deaths

(Up 4 reported case since yesterday, Up 1 reported death since yesterday)

St. Landry Parish: 3,141 total cases, 115 total deaths

(Up 2 reported cases since yesterday, Up 0 reported deaths since yesterday)

Acadia Parish: 2,828 total cases, 94 total deaths

(Up 4 reported cases since yesterday, Up 1 reported death since yesterday)

Evangeline Parish: 1,154 total cases, 27 total deaths

(Up 11 reported cases since yesterday, Up 0 reported deaths since yesterday)

Vermilion Parish: 1,901 total cases, 48 total deaths
