Lion’s Den Armed Robbery Suspect Arrested

The Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office has arrested a Lafayette man for the July 1 robbery of the Lion's Den adult novelty store.

Sheriff K.P. Gibson reported 28-year-old Charleston Washington was arrested for the armed robbery of the store in Egan.

Washington was booked into the Lafayette Parish Jail and will be extradited to Acadia Parish.

The arrest was made following a joint investigation conducted by the Acadia Parish Sheriff's Office, the Lafayette City Marshal's Office and the Lafayette Police Department.

“We appreciate the hard work of all deputies, officers and marshal’s involved in this case. Hard work and great communication has led to this arrest” Gibson said.
