Country Music Hall of Fame member Elvis Presley would have turned 85 years old this week, and the celebration in his hometown of Memphis, TN are pretty much at a frenzy level. Hundreds of thousands of fans flock to Tennessee for a four day yearly commemoration that includes concerts, tributes, Elvis lookalike contests, one of a kind events, fan club parties, and tours of the family's home estate, Graceland. It is a huge event, with people coming from all over the world.

In the past, Priscilla Presley, and her daughter Lisa Marie, Elvis' only child, have made a point to be at the massive celebration for at least some of the festivities. So, it was somewhat of a shock when People, via The Blast, reported that Lisa Marie's two youngest children, 11 year old Harper and Finley, have been barred from traveling to Memphis for the massive birthday celebration. Apparently, Lisa Marie and her estranged husband, Michael Lockwood, have a current custody agreement in place that says neither parent can take the twin girls out of the state of California without approval by the other parent. And Lockwood is not approving this trip. Which seems kind of petty, just my opinion.

Lisa Marie's legal team, Brot Gross Fishbein, went to Los Angeles County Court earlier this week to file emergency documents asking that the children be allowed to travel, but the answer was no. The judge said it was not an emergency situation, and the request was denied. Presley and Lockwood were married from 2006-2016, and they have been locked in a bitter custody battle for several years. It was her fourth marriage.
