(Zachary, Louisiana) - A line of severe thunderstorms pushed across much of south Louisiana early Monday morning and high winds knocked down power lines and trees.

According to WAFB, a school bus in Zachary, Louisiana was damaged when a tree fell on it, and as you can see in the photo below, the damage done to the bus was quite extensive.

The Baton Rouge news station reports that there were no injuries in this incident. Amazingly, no students were sitting on the bus where the tree or tree limb hit.

This happened at 7:30 am Monday on Plains Port Hudson Road.

Here's a look at the damage done to the school bus as it was transporting students to school, while severe weather entered that area of the state.

As storms moved into much of Louisiana to start the new school week, wind speeds at the Baton Rouge Airport reached hurricane-force winds.
