McNeese Cutting Costs To Make Up For Share Of Louisiana Deficit
McNeese State will have to cut nearly $1.4 million dollars from its general budget, according to the University of Louisiana system.
The system is reducing it's mid-year budget by $17 million in response to it's share of $50 million in Louisiana $251 million dollar deficit.
The Lake Charles university will be cutting costs two ways according to Candace Townsend, Director of Public Information, by freezing hiring and spending on nonessential equipment.
