A Melville man pleaded guilty to possession of child pornography in federal court last week after Louisiana State Police and Homeland Security found 75 videos and 6 images of explicit sexual activity.

U.S. Attorney Stephanie Finley reported 34-year-old Russell Guillory faces up to 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. He will also be required to register as a sex offender upon his release.

Agents discovered the child pornography when they searched Guillory's home last January. They discovered four electronic devices containing the the videos and images.

No sentencing date was set.

This case is part of Project Safe Childhood, a U.S. Department of Justice nationwide initiative to combat the growing epidemic of child sexual exlpoitation and abuse.
