BOSTON (AP) — The latest blast of snow to hit New England dumped more than a foot in some part of Massachusetts and packed heavy winds that left thousands without power on Cape Cod.

Snow continued to fall farther north and forecasters warned parts of Maine could see two feet before the storm moves out Sunday.

Coastal areas south of Boston appeared to get the worst of the storm, with 15 inches of snow reported in Sandwich and 10 inches reported in New Bedford and Plymouth.

Electricity provider NStar says more than 13,000 customers were without power Sunday morning on Cape Cod. Wind gusts of more than 50 mph were reported.
