One Dead In Acadia Parish Crash

An Egan woman is dead after a Saturday night crash.

It happened around 9:30 p.m. on the Egan Highway near Sensat Cove Road.

State troopers say Stacy Monceaux's car veered into oncoming traffic and hit a pickup truck. Monceaux, who troopers say was not wearing a seat belt, died at the scene. The driver of the truck suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

The crash remains under investigation.
