Operation Targeting Prostitution Results in 19 Arrests
On Tuesday and Wednesday, Lafayette Police conducted an operation targeting prostitution near the intersection of Cameron Street and University Avenue.
The two day operation included members of the Lafayette Police Department and the Louisiana State Police working in a uniform and undercover capacity. A total of 9 suspects were arrested and charged with prostitution and 8 suspects were arrested and charged with Soliciting for Prostitution. Two other arrest were made unrelated to the operation.
