‘Opportunity Machine’ Construction Has Begun in Downtown Lafayette

Opportunity Machine has been an invaluable resource for over 80 home-based businesses in Acadiana, and now they will be able to help even more.

Opportunity Machine provides things like WiFi, desk areas to work, conference rooms to hold meetings and interviews and more to local home-based businesses. They provide the facilities some small businesses need to help them compete with larger businesses.

KATC reports that currently there are over 80 local businesses that take advantage of the services provided by Opportunity Machine.

Now, Opportunity Machine is moving into a bigger space in Downtown Lafayette which means even more businesses will be able to take advantage of the services offered.

Chris LeBas, who owns his company Exterior Cleaning Services tells KATC "I'm able to go in, work at a desk and have WiFi where I do my computer work. If I need to interview someone or meet with a client they have meeting rooms, they have conference rooms, whatever you need"

The new location is expected to be up and running in early 2021.
