Police Arrest Car Burglars

Early this morning around 1:35 am, Lafayette Police responded to a business in the 600 block of Crestlawn regarding a possible car burglary.  When officers arrived on the scene they observed two black male suspects attempting to leave the area.  The two suspects were connected with allegedly breaking into at least 6 vehicles within a fenced in area.  The suspects were identified as Joshua Mitchell (24) of Lafayette and Kennedy Tauriac (20) of Lafayette.  Both Mitchell and Olivier were charged with 6 counts of Simple Burglary of a Vehicle. The case remains under investigation.
