Police Conduct Underage Alcohol Possession Operation

On January 21, 2011, Lafayette Police conducted an underage alcohol possession operation targeting those individuals under the age of 21 in possession of alcohol at businesses within the City of Lafayette.

A total of 11 locations were checked during the operation. Of the 11 locations, only 10 persons under the age of 21 were found in possession of alcohol. Below is a list of the locations checked and the violations issued.

Locations checked with no violations:

1. DAIQUIRI SUPREME-4680 JOHNSTON ST;

2. WOW CAFE & WINERY-509 BERTRAND;

3. FRANCIS V GROCERY-900 W. SIMCOE;

4. LYNN'S GROCERY-800 CAMERON ST.

5. FRANKIES DOWNTOWN-429 JEFFERSON ST

6. LEGENDS DOWNTOWN-413 JEFFERSN ST

1. MARLEY'S-407 JEFFERSON ST(2 VIOLATIONS);

2. THE GREEN ROOM-229 JEFFERSON ST(2 VIOLATIONS);

3. CITY BAR-324 JEFFERSON ST(4 VIOLATIONS);

4. THE KEG-115 MCKINLEY(1 VIOLATION);
