Can you imagine the surprise of the staff at a Red Lobster in Akron, Ohio when they came across something that is very rare? While an employee was going through their live lobster delivery last week, something stood out. A BLUE LOBSTER. When the employee saw the blue lobster in the batch, he knew it was a rare find. Only one out of every two million lobsters is blue. That is how rare they are.

The Red Lobster staff named the blue lobster, Clawde after the restaurant’s mascot. The staff contacted the Monterey Bay Aquarium, and the Aquarium reached out to the zoo. The Akron Zoo staff went to the restaurant to pick up the blue lobster and give it a permanent home. According the to zoo, Clawde is acclimating to his new home in a special tank housed in their Komodo Kingdom building.
