WASHINGTON (AP) — All 55 Democrats in the Senate and several Republicans are expected to vote yes today on a bill that would make it illegal for employers in the U.S. to discriminate against gay, bisexual and transgender workers.

But the Republican-led House is unlikely to even vote on the Employment Non-Discrimination Act.

Speaker John Boehner argues that the legislation is unnecessary and certain to create costly, frivolous lawsuits.
