Several Lane Closures For St. Mary Parish Next Week

Lane closures are on tap in St. Mary Parish next week.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development says on Monday March 14, they will close one lane of traffic on the Highway 90 Eastbound Morgan City bridge between 8 a.m. and noon for bridge inspections.

On the same day, from noon until 4 p.m., DOTD will close one lane of traffic at the Berwick Bridge for the same type of work.

On Tuesday, March15, DOTD bridge inspections will be on Highway 90 and Highway 182.  In the first part of the day, DOTD will close one lane of traffic on the Highway 90 Westbound lane at Morgan City for bridge inspections.

Tuesday afternoon, DOTD will have to close the Highway 182 bridge over Bayou Beouf in Amelia for bridge inspections between noon and 4 p.m. DOTD notes that over height permit loads will not have a detour route during the four hours because of the low height ramp on the 90 westbound side.

On Wednesday, March 16, bridge inspections will continue.  DOTD will be closing down Highway 182 at the Charenton Canal Bridge for their inspections.  The work will take place between 8:00 a.m. and noon.

DOTD says all the work will go on as schedule as long as there are good weather conditions.
