Soup For You – Food Friday
Its the time of year for soup as things get a little cooler. But what are some of the best things you can do to make great soup? Stu Gonsuron joined us on a Food Friday on the Afternoon Drive Home. One of the things that Gonsuron talked about was using a couple of recipes and feel free to be creative. He said that one of the things that people tend to do is put too much salt in soup, so he had a tip to take care of that,
If you put a little too much salt in something, put a couple of peeled potatoes in there and let them sit in there a little bit, they do absorb some of that salt. Not all of it, but some of it.
Gonsuron talked about using a good base. He said that this is something that you are seeing in stores right now. He said that using the base may mean that you use less salt when you make the soup.
