During the last 24 hours St. Mary Parish Sheriff Mark Hebert says his officers responded to 28 complaints which resulted in the following four arrests.

59 year old Caston Malveaux 511 B Signe Street, Patterson, LA was arrested on February 29, 2016 at 8:07 am for careless operation of a motor vehicle with a crash and no insurance. A deputy was dispatched to a two vehicle crash on Highway 90 near Universe Road in Bayou Vista. The deputy made contact with both of the drivers, including Malveaux. The deputy collected statements that Malveaux pulled into the path of an oncoming vehicle. Malveaux was subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment of injuries. No other injuries were reported. Malveaux was released on a summons to appear in court on May 4, 2016.

26 year old Precious Beasley of  416 Martin Luther King Drive Apt. 19, Jeanerette, LA was arrested on February 29, 2016 at 12:44 pm for careless operation with a crash and expired motor vehicle inspection sticker. A deputy was dispatched to a three vehicle crash on Highway 90 in Jeanerette. The deputy collected statements that Beasley, the driver of one of the vehicles, failed to yield to oncoming traffic while entering the highway and struck a vehicle which then struck another vehicle on the roadway. Beasley was also found to have an expired inspection sticker. Beasley was released on a summons to appear in court on May 4, 2016.

39 year old Rhonda Lodrigue of Two Sister’s Court, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on February 29, 2016 at 2:50 pm for theft, forgery, and monetary instrument abuse. A deputy investigating a complaint of a theft found evidence that Lodrigue stole two checks from a relative and forged them to purchase items and receive cash back at a store in Berwick. Lodrigue was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

27 year old Demetrius Green 630 Shannon Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on February 29, 2016 at 5:18 pm for domestic abuse battery. Deputies responded to a report of a disturbance in progress at a business on Highway 90 in the Patterson area. During the course of the investigation, deputies gathered evidence that Green stuck a female victim during an argument. Green was transported to the parish jail for booking. Green was released on $1,000 bond.
