St. Mary Parish Man Arrested On Several Drug Charges

St. Mary Parish Narcotics Detectives arrest 35-year-old Johnny Francois of Morgan on several drug charges after executing a search warrant.

Francois was arrested for the following:

• Possession of marijuana with intent to distribute
• Possession of drug paraphernalia
• Possession of a Legend Drug (Amoxil)
• Possession of Schedule II (Lortab)
• Transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses
• Violation of a controlled dangerous substance law (school zone)

The arrest last night came after detectives with St. Mary Parish, Morgan City Police and Berwick Police went to Francois’ home.

Police found several bags of marijuana, Lortab pills along with Amoxil and a digital scale.

Detectives say the also seized close to $2,000 in drug money.

Francois was taken to jail for booking.
