St. Mary Robbery Suspect Already In Jail

Turns out a suspect in a robbery in St. Mary Parish is already in jail in St. Charles Parish on unrelated charges.

45-year-old Shawn Himel of Paradis is accused of robbing the Circle K on Highway 182 in Amelia over a week ago. Authorities say Himel approached the counter and demanded money from the store clerk.

Multiple tips from residents led to police identifying him.
