Suspect Wanted For Casino Shooting Arrested Saturday
A man wanted for shooting at his ex-girlfriend and her current boyfriend was arrested this morning in St. Mary Parish.
Chitimacha Chief of Police Hal Hutchinson told our news partner, KATC, Alfred Gabriel was arrested Saturday morning in Sorrell.
Gabriel was booked into the Chitimacha Tribal Police Department where he was charged with two counts of attempted second degree murder, felon in possession of a firearm and unauthorized use of a movable.
According to officers, Gabriel shot the couple during an argument at Cypress Bayou Casino Wednesday night.
The investigation was a multi-agency effort among the following law enforcement agencies: Chitimacha Police Department, St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Department, Franklin Police Department, Iberia Parish Sheriff's Department-Criminal Intelligence Unit, Louisiana State Police and U.S. Marshal's Office.
