UPDATE: New Iberia Mother Turns In Teen For Attempted Murder
UPDATE: Reginald Peters Jr. is now in police custody.
An Iberia Parish Sheriff's spokesman said the suspects' mother turned him into the Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office this afternoon.

A New Iberia teenager is on the lam after shooting a man in a fight Monday.
Iberia Parish Sheriff's Office spokesman Capt. Wendell Raborn said 17-year-old Reginald Peters Jr. is wanted for attempted second-degree murder after shooting another man during a fight Monday.
Raborn said deputies responded to the scene of a fight in progress in the 700 block of S. Hopkins Street just after 12 p.m. Monday.
The 31-year-old victim was located at the scene with a single gunshot wound on his leg.
Peters is described as a black male, standing 5-feet-7-inches tall and weighing 150 pounds.
Peters should be considered armed and dangerous.
Individual should not attempt to apprehend or detain Peters. If anyone has information about his location they should call the Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office at 369-3711.
