Teen Suspect Arrested For July 5th Shooting In Lafayette (UPDATED)

UPDATE: 19-year-old Brendon James Yorks was arrested Thursday at a home in Lafayette. He’s been booked into the Lafayette Parish Correctional Center and charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder.

A shooting in the 100 block of Sonny Street in Lafayette leaves a 16-year-old black male victim in the hospital in stable condition.

Lafayette Police say the shooting happened around 3 PM Wednesday in front of the home. Officers continue to investigate as no additional information has been released at this time.
