Three-Year-Old Recovering From Accident

A three-year-old girl is recovering from her injuries after she was hit by an alleged intoxicated driver while waiting for a Mardi Gras parade to start in Lafayette. Corporal Paul Mouton of the Lafayette Police Department says 23-year-old Seth Spell of Jennings was driving his car out of a parking lot when the accident occurred. Mouton says Spell faces a variety of charges. Mouton says the little girl that was hit by the vehicle suffered only moderate injuries. He says Spell is facing several charges, including attempted murder.
