FAYETTEVILLE, Tenn. (AP) — An emergency management official says two additional deaths have been reported in southern Tennessee from a storm system that's spawned deadly tornadoes as it moves across the South.

Lincoln County Emergency Management Director Mike Hall tells The Associated Press that two people were killed in a home when a suspected tornado hit Monday night.

Hall says the winds destroyed several other homes as well as a middle school in the county that borders Alabama.

At least 11 people in the South have been killed, bringing the overall death toll from two days of severe weather to at least 28.
