November 7th will be an emotional day for some employees of United Airlines and aviation lovers alike. It will mark the final flight of United's 747 aircraft which has been dubbed the "Queen of the Skies". The majestic aircraft are increasingly being replaced on fleets by more economical and smaller planes such as the Boeing 777 and 787.

Boeing competitor Airbus has also crept in on the long-standing jumbo jet legacy by unveiling the true double-decker A380. Increasing fuel costs and suffering bottom lines will ultimately be blamed for the dwindling numbers of 747s that are in service. United Airlines is helping her go out in style with a vintage flight from Chicago to Los Angeles to Honolulu. This is the same flight United's first 747 took decades ago. Seats are going fast, but you too can score a set on this #AvGeek (aviation geek) flight of a lifetime.
