A Louisiana pizza delivery driver is okay and two men are in jail in Texas following a robbery and carjacking that occurred over the weekend. Police in Ville Platte say a driver working for Domino's PIzza had just arrived at a delivery address in Ville Platte late Saturday night when he was robbed and his vehicle was taken from him.

According to family members the driver was released and left alone on a dirt road. The driver was apparently unharmed although police have not corroborated those facts.

The suspects who remained at large for several hours were finally taken into custody in Texas near the Louisiana state line. The men were arrested and the stolen vehicle was recovered.

Police Chief Neal Lartigue says the two suspects will be extradited back to Evangeline Parish once the paperwork has been completed. The two men will likely be processed on multiple charges before being booked into the Evangeline Parish Jail.

Meanwhile, the investigation into the incident is ongoing. More details are expected to be released by authorities later today.
