Attempted Murder Suspect & Girlfriend Arrested
UPDATE: 27-year-old Michael White and his girlfriend – Brittany Thibodeaux – have been arrested in Sabine Parish.
Thibodeaux was re-arrested in Sabine Parish after St. Landry Sheriff's authorities say she fled the parish after bonding out of the first arrest. She was found hiding with White in Sabine Parish, according to Chief Deputy Eddie Thibodeaux.
White faces the following charges:
- 4 Counts of Attempted 1st Degree murder,
- 1 Count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm
- 2 Counts of Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property.

- 1 Count of Possession of CDS in the Presence of a Person Under 17
- 1 Count Possession of a Firearm with a CDS
- 1 Count Possession of Schedule I CDS
- Felon in Possession of a Firearm
Thibodeaux faces the following charges:
- 1 Count of Possession of CDS in the Presence of a Person Under 17
- 1 Count Possession of a Fireaarm with a CDS
- 1 Count Possession of Schedule 1 CDS

UPDATE: 26-year-old Brittany Thibodeaux of Opelousas has been arrested in connection to the shooting.
Deputy Chief Eddie Thibodeaux with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office says she is the girlfriend of Michael White and allegedly gave false statements to authorities about where White was. Detectives also say she was with White a few days after the shooting and did not notify law enforcement.
Brittany Thibodeaux is being charged with 1 Count of Accessory after the fact to attempted 1st Degree Murder (Felony). Her bond has been set at $75,000.00

A St. Landry Parish resident Rayonna Nicole Smith,18, has been arrested for Principal To Attempted First Degree Murder and two counts of Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property, and deputies are looking for her brother.
Mike White, 27, is being sought for four counts Attempted First Degree Murder and charges for Aggravated Criminal Damage to Property in relation to an incident at Christ the King Rd on February 9, 2019, in Opelousas.
Officials say that Smith was mad at her ex-boyfriend, and she and her brother, White, chased the victim down in a car, and White shot more than a dozen times at the man. Smith reportedly encountered the victim at a party.
White is wanted for attempting to kill Smith's ex-boyfriend.
Eddie Thibodeaux with the St. Landry Parish Sheriff's Office says they have arrested his sister for driving a car that was occupied by her older brother at the time of the incident.
Thibodeaux says White shot up the ex-boyfriend's vehicle with 26 bullets, and the victim's friend's vehicle was also hit with that man calling Smith to ask her why they were doing this she told him,
"Smith told the victim that he was at the wrong place at the wrong time."
White is also going to be charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm.
White should be considered armed and dangerous. His last known address was 468 Napolean Ave. in Sunset.
