Lawrence Ames and Isaac Julian - both 40-years-old and from Breaux Bridge - were arrested on Wednesday morning following complaints of suspected illegal narcotics activity at the 1000 block of Bill Clause Drive in the Breaux Bridge area.

Narcotics Agents say they found suspected heroin, methamphetamine, MDMA (ecstasy), cocaine HCL, “crack cocaine”, crack cocaine manufacturing laboratory, prescription medication (including oxycodone), a handgun, drug paraphernalia and U.S. currency. Also, a substantial amount of marijuana was located and was also prepackaged for re-sale.  Agents also located various other items which were consistent with the manufacturing, packaging and sale of illegal narcotics.

Ames - whose bond has been set at $68,000 - was arrested on the following charges:

·         40:966A(1); Possession W/ Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS (Heroin)

·         40:966A(1); Possession W/ Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS (MDMA)

·         40:967A; Maufacture, Distribution, PWITD Schedule II CDS (Cocaine HCL)

·         40:967A; Maufacture, Distribution, PWITD Schedule II CDS (Cocaine Base)

·         40:967A; Maufacture, Distribution, PWITD Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine)

·         40:967A; Maufacture, Distribution, PWITD Schedule II CDS (Oxycodone)

·         14:95E; Possession of a Firearm in the Presence of CDS (7 Counts)

·         14:95.1; Possession of a Firearm/Concealed by Convicted Felon

·         40:983.1; Creation/Operation of a Clandestine Laboratory

·         14:26; Criminal Conspiracy

·         14:104; Keeping a Disorderly Place

·         14:105; Letting a Disorderly Place

·         40:967C; Possession of Schedule II CDS (Methamphetamine)

·         40:966C; Simple Possession of Marijuana

·         40:1023C; Possession of Drug Paraphernalia

·         40:1041; Transactions Involving Proceeds From Drug Offenses

Julian - whose bond has been set at $54,000 - was arrested on the following charges:

·         40:971.1; Prohibited Acts; False Representation of a CDS

·         40:983.1; Creation/Operation of a Clandestine Laboratory

·         14:26; Criminal Conspiracy

·         40:966A(1); Possession W/ Intent to Distribute Schedule I CDS (Marijuana)

·         40:967A; Manufacture; Distribution; PITD Schedule II CDS (Crack Cocaine)

·         14:108; Resisting an Officer - Providing false identifying information

·         40:1060.13; Sale, Distribution or Possession of Legend Drug (Prescription Laxative)

Detectives say Julian also had two active arrest warrants.

The investigation is ongoing and more arrests are expected to be made.
