ABSOLUT ‘Tini Tour’ 2012 Raises Money For Healing House

Today on 'Mornings With Ken and Bernie' the Blue Dog Cafe presented their signature martini as part of the ABSOLUT 'Tini Tour' 2012.  For the fifth year ABSOLUT Vodka is teaming up with eight local restaurants to raise money for Healing House in an entertaining manner.  Each Tuesday for eight weeks the restaurants serve their signature martinis to garner tips that are earmarked for Healing House a facility that helps children who have lost parents or siblings.  After three weeks of this year's fundraiser totals have surpassed previous three week totals in past years.

Annie Caillouet of Healing House says this is the biggest fundraiser for the organization and the culmination of this year's event will be held August 25 at the Lafayette Hilton.  Caillouet said,

"The ABSOLUT 'Tini Tour' will conclude with all eight participating restaurants serving their special martinis at a great venue to gather last minute tips with great food, a silent auction and music by Louisiana Red."

Today at the KPEL studio the Blue Dog cafe prepared their Watermelon Martini which includes watermelon infused ABSOLUT Vodka, strawberries, Guava syrup and a secret ingredient.
