Baton Rouge Man Pleads Not Guilty In Woman’s Death
BATON ROUGE, La. (AP) — A 21-year-old man has pleaded not guilty in the September 24th shooting death of a single mother and wounding of her nine-year-old daughter during what police called a burglary of their Baton Rouge home.
The Advocate reports Aramis Jackson entered his plea Tuesday in state district court to charges of first-degree murder and attempted first-degree murder.
Jackson is being held without bond in the slaying of 42-year-old Alexandra Engler and wounding of her daughter, Ariana, who was shot multiple times.
