Breaux Bridge Woman Arrested On Felony Theft Charges

Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a local business in June in reference to a report of the alleged theft of funds by an employee of the business.

During the course of the investigation, St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Investigators gathered information that indicated that the employee, who was identified as 44-year-old Casie Lynn Breaux, had stolen over $400,000 from the company over a period of time by attempting to manipulate the accounting system.

At the culmination of the investigation, a Warrant of Arrest was obtained and this afternoon, Breaux turned herself in to authorities with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office where she was arrested on the following charge:

LA. R.S. 14:67.B.(1)-Theft (over the amount of $400,000.00) (Felony)

Following her arrest, she was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the above charge. The investigation remains ongoing and further charges may be pending.
