Broussard Suing Lafayette Over Disputed Water Bill

The argument over a huge water bill is now going to court. Broussard paid a disputed $825,000 bill by the December 22nd deadline, but is suing the city of Lafayette for a refund and bad faith damages. Mayor Charles Langlinais says Broussard only owes Lafayette Utility Services about $160,000. The dispute is over just how much water flowed through a water meter point that was operated on bypass for a number of years.
