14 names appear on the 72-hour weekend arrest report released by the St. Mary Parish Sheriff's Office. Driving violations headline the list. Deputies say they investigated 121 complaints.

Tommy L. Harding, Jr. , 27, 137 Friendship Alley, Amelia, LA was arrested on April 8, 2016 at 12:18 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of speeding and reckless operation of a vehicle. Harding turned himself in to the St. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. He was released on a recognizance bond.

Roosevelt Robertson , 62, 217 Ridgeway Street, Thibodaux, LA was arrested on April 8, 2016 at 2:02 pm for proper equipment required, improper lane usage, and driver must be licensed.

Florence Alvis , 54, 217 Ridgeway Street, Thibodaux, LA was arrested on April 8, 2016 at 2:04 pm for possession of marijuana.

A deputy patrolling Calumet observed a vehicle driving in the left lane on Highway 182 with an unlit tail light near the boat landing and conducted a traffic stop. The deputy made contact with the driver, Robertson, and a passenger, identified as Alvis. During the traffic stop investigation, the deputy located a small bag of marijuana on Alvis’ person and partially consumed burnt marijuana cigarettes and cigars in the Alvis’ purse and in the vehicle. The deputy also discovered that Robertson was driving the vehicle without a license. Alvis was released on a summons to appear in court on July 25, 2016. Robertson was transported to the parish jail for booking and was later released on a summons to appear in court on July 25, 2016.

Bronson Loring , 320 Buccaneer Road, Gray, LA was arrested on April 8, 2016 at 3:10 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charge of not abiding by the rules and regulations of a wildlife management area. Loring turned himself in to the ST. Mary Parish Sheriff’s Office in Franklin. Loring was booked into the parish jail and later released on a $400 bond.

Courtnie L. Chenevert , 33, 2208 Keith Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 8, 2016 at 5:23 pm on a warrant for failure to appear on the charges of operating a vehicle with a suspended license, speeding, and no seatbelt. A correctional officer transported Chenevert from Assumption Parish to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center on the warrant. Chenevert was released on a $6,000 recognizance bond.

Brandon Davis , 37, 1201 Willow Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on April 9, 2016 at 1:19 am on three warrants from the Franklin Police Department for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, reckless operation of a vehicle, and driving under suspension. A deputy made contact with Davis during a traffic stop on Highway 182 in Centerville. Davis was a passenger of a vehicle. While speaking with the occupants, the deputy located three active warrants from Franklin Police for his arrest. Davis was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Paulino Lopez-Garcia , 31, 607 Sixth Street, Morgan City, LA was arrested on April 9, 2016 at 2:19 am for the following offenses:
- Reckless operation of a vehicle
- Driver must be licensed
- Possession of (open) alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles
- Warrant for failure to appear on the charges of flight from an officer, speeding, expired motor vehicle inspection, and operating a vehicle without a driver’s license
A deputy patrolling Amelia observed a car parked, partially blocking the entrance to a business on Highway 182. As the deputy approached, the vehicle pulled away then re-entered the parking lot striking a curb. The deputy made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as Lopez-Garcia, and observed an open bottle of beer inside the car. The deputy also discovered that Lopez-Garcia was operating the vehicle without a license and had an active warrant for his arrest. Lopez-Garcia was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Henry J. Caballero-Melendez , 24, 28 Odile Street, Amelia, LA was arrested on April 9, 2016 at 2:31 am for operating a vehicle while intoxicated, driver must be licensed, and lighted lamps required. A deputy patrolling Amelia observed a vehicle traveling on Highway 182 without any headlights on. The deputy made contact with the driver, Caballero-Melendez, and learned that he was operating the vehicle without a license. While speaking with Caballero, the deputy smelled the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his breath and person. The deputy administered a field sobriety test. Caballero-Melendez conducted the test poorly. He later registered a 0.167g% blood alcohol concentration on a breath test. Caballero-Melendez was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Jasmine R. McCoy , 22, 1006 Iberia Street, Franklin, LA was arrested on April 9, 2016 at 9:07 am for failure to report an accident and resisting an officer (giving false information). A deputy responded to a report of a crash involving a pedestrian on Irish Bend Road. The victim was located at an area hospital with a fractured nose and other injuries. While attempting to locate the vehicle involved, the deputy made contact with McCoy who gave the deputy a false name. Through the course of the investigation, the deputy found evidence that McCoy knowingly left the scene of the crash. McCoy was transported to the parish jail for booking. McCoy was released on a summons to appear in court on July 25, 2016. The crash remains under investigation at this time.

Corey Mire , 28, 101 Southwest Road Lot #2, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 9, 2016 at 11:22 am for the following offenses:
- Condition of windshield
- Driving under suspension
- No motor vehicle insurance
- Possession of Legend Drug without a prescription
A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed a vehicle with multiple cracks in the windshield on the driver’s side and conducted a traffic stop. While speaking with the driver, Mire, the deputy found that he was operating the vehicle with a driver’s license that is listed as suspended and did not have insurance. During the course of the traffic stop investigation, the deputy also located a prescribed pill for which Mire did not have a prescription. Mire was transported to the parish jail for booking. No bail is set.

Tayler Davis , 17, 1601 Cross Road #2, Bayou Vista, LA was arrested on April 9, 2016 at 1:00 pm on a warrant for criminal damage to property. A deputy patrolling Bayou Vista observed Davis walking in a parking lot off of Southeast Boulevard. The deputy knew Davis had an active warrant for his arrest and took him into custody. The warrant was issued following an investigation into a complaint of property damage at The Swamp skate park. A deputy observed video surveillance footage of Davis sitting on a water fountain causing the fountain to break and fall to the ground. Davis was transported to the parish jail for booking and released on a summons to appear in court on July 25, 2016.

Lazin McDaniel , 39, 102 Verdun Lane, Verdunville, LA was arrested on April 9, 2016 at 1:26 pm for driving under suspension, possession of (open) alcoholic beverages in motor vehicles, and on a warrant from Franklin Police for home invasion. A deputy traveling in Franklin, observed McDaniel driving a vehicle on Second Street. The deputy knew McDaniel was wanted on an active warrant, stopped the vehicle, and took him into custody. During the arrest, the deputy observed an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle and also found that McDaniel was operating the vehicle with a driver’s license that is listed as suspended. He was transported to the parish jail for booking. McDaniel was released after posting $26,500 bond.

Corey W. Stone , 34, 11409 Bluewater Street, Freeport, TX was arrested on April 10, 2016 at 10:26 am on a warrant for fraudulent acquisition of a rental motor vehicle and unauthorized use of a moveable. On April 1, 2016, a deputy was dispatched to a complaint of a stolen vehicle. The deputy found evidence that Stone fraudulently rented an air boat from a company in the Franklin area by presenting himself as an employee of one of the victim’s clients. The deputy received information that the air boat was in Stephensville. With assistance from the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office, the property was located at a residence there. The deputy obtained a warrant for Stone’s arrest. Stone was transported from the Sulpher Police Department to the St. Mary Parish Law Enforcement Center by a correctional officer on the warrant. No bail is set.

Erica Alexander , 33, 121 Guzzetta Street, Berwick, LA was arrested on April 10, 2016 at 7:45 pm for theft of goods. A deputy responding to a complaint of shoplifting at a store in Bayou Vista collected evidence that Alexander went into the store, put several items in her purse, and then exited the store without paying for the goods. Alexander was released on a summons to appear in court on July 25, 2016.
