Louisiana State Police will have a "No Refusal" DWI checkpoint this Friday night starting at 9 p.m. at an undisclosed location in Vermilion Parish.

Troopers will be looking to remove any impaired drivers off of our roadways before they can hurt anyone.

Trooper Brooks David says in 2014 there were 61 fatal crashes and 73 people died in those crashes. He says 56 percent of those crashes were caused do to impaired driving.

This year, 26 people have already died on our roadways due to impaired driving, distracted driving or other causes.
