Emergency Recall Issued for Popular Beauty Product Sold in Texas
Every night when the sun goes down in places like Corsicana, Palestine, Jasper, or Waskom there are a whole lot of us Texans who get better looking. Yeah, the lack of light appears to make us more pleasing to the eye. Not all of us in Texas were blessed with the beauty of a member of the Dallas Cowboys Cheer Squad. Some of us, maybe not you, need a little help.
If looking young and feeling good about your looks are important to you. Chances are you spend more than a few minutes on your day-to-day skin care and hygiene regimen. I do not know this from experience but I have heard the key to great-looking skin when you're older is to always moisturize when you're younger.
And while moisturizing has long been the exclusive domain of the "high-haired Dallas socialite" more and more men are seeing and feeling the benefits of soft supple skin. Moisturizing allows skin to maintain its elasticity, which means fewer wrinkles and fine lines that can make us look older. That is unless your moisturizing product has been found to be the subject of a nationwide recall.
Based on information provided by the Food and Drug Administration nearly 2,800 jars of Ultra Repair Cream Coconut Vanilla moisturizer sold by First Aid Beauty have been recalled. The reason for the recall? The product should not have been sold in the first place. The product in question looks similar to the one pictured on the First Aid Beauty website.
The manufacturer reported to the FDA that the products were "intended for quarantine" and "not intended for market sale". We should note that the only product that is being recalled is the Ultra Repair Cream Coconut Vanilla sold directly via FirstAidBeauty.com in the U.S.
This Class II recall is the second highest level of recall issued by the FDA. A Class II recall, according to the FDA website is one where " use of, or exposure to (can)…cause temporary or medically reversible adverse health consequences or where the probability of serious adverse health consequences is remote".
The jars in question are labeled with the following details "lots number24D44 with an expiration date of April 10, 2026, and 24D45 with an expiration date of April 11, 2026. If you purchased the product you should have been or will be notified via email and you should be receiving a replacement product.
If you have questions about your replacement, a refund, or the recall you may contact the company by calling 800-322-3619 or you may send an email to customerservice@firstaidbeauty.com.
