Family Adventure Day To Benefit Healing House Around The Corner

Family Adventure Day to benefit Healing House is right around the corner, and it's not too late to register your family for the popular event.

Jenee Broussard said Family Adventure Day, which takes place March 14, allows families to choose from a wide variety of activities, such as canoeing on Petit Bayou, remote control car racing at the new location of Big Boy Toys and Hobbies, scuba or snorkeling at Diver's Destination, and E's Kitchen will also hold pizza cooking classes.

Families will have 38 activities from which to choose, and Family Adventure Day allows them the ability to do each activity on their own timeline. Broussard families can do a couple of events, run some errands, and then continue on. Each family chooses when they start and stop, Broussard said.

A family of four can register for $50, and that includes the adventure map, a goodie bag and four tee shirts. Up to three additional people can be added to a family's team at $10 per person.

Broussard said to go to www.healing-house.org in order to register. Alternatively, families can call (337) 234-0443 or pick up a registration form at any Lafayette location of McDonald's.
